It was recently reported that glaciers in Switzerland have lost approximately 10 per cent of their ice volume in two years. In such a short period of time, the same amount of ice melted as in the 30 years from 1960 to 1990. According to scientists, the rate at which glaciers are melting is truly terrifying.
