Scientists have discovered mysterious stone circles in the Andes, which apparently were erected before the pyramid complex in Egypt.
The stone structure, which has a diameter of just over 18 metres, consists of two concentric walls made of unformed stone exposed vertically on the ground. It is noted that the monument in question is located at the archaeological site of Callacpuma in the northern part of Peru’s Cajamarca Basin, located three kilometres above sea level near the summit of a peak in the Andes, the world’s largest mountain range.
